About the Company

The Business of College Sports was founded in 2011 by attorney and sports business reporter Kristi Dosh.  The site has established itself as one of the leading resources on the business of college sports with its original research, reporting and databases used throughout the college sports industry. In particular, it has become a resource on all things name, image and likeness.

Founder Kristi Dosh was hired away from her law practice in 2011 by ESPN to be its sports business reporter and has since written for such publications as The Washington Post, Fox Sports, Entrepreneur, Fast Company, SportsBusiness Journal, Golf Digest and more. She’s a frequent guest on national television and radio, including ESPN and Sirius/XM. She’s the host of the Business of College Sports podcast and The Players’ Platform podcast and has been featured in multiple documentaries on the business of college sports. Kristi teaches courses in sports media law and name, image and likeness in the College of Journalism and the Department of Sport Management at the University of Florida.
